The Heritage Association of South Africa (HASA), with which Mpumalanga Heritage is proudly affiliated, holds its landmark 25th Annual Symposium in Graaff-Reinet from 11 to 13 November 2026. The Graaff-Reinet Heritage Society warmly invites members and guests to three days of Karoo hospitality, in the company of experts and others with shared interests, in one of South Africa's oldest towns — at the forefront of the country's history since its founding in 1786.
Guided by the symposium theme of echoes, voices and visions, the programme ranges freely across South Africa's past, from palaeontological times to recent history, listening to the voices of today's historians and heritage practitioners, and looking ahead to renewed heritage awareness through new technology.
